Finally Joan and I have managed to arrange our South African trip for 1st October. We have booked flights independantly and the trip through East Cape Tours. We have managed to get 5 nights at an old Victorian Hotel called Blackheath Lodge. http://www.blackheathlodge.co.za/ and then we fly down to Port Elizabeth for 5 days at the Pumba Private Game Reserve.  http://www.pumbagamereserve.co.za/ . We did a safari holiday three years ago and I had promised Joan that we would go back there. When we were there last time we met a couple called Gustav and Judith who live just 1 hour south of Cape Town so the idea is to spend a little time with them during our trip. When we leave the Game Reserve we collect a hire car for 5 days so that we can travel the Garden Route back to Cape Town airport for our flight home. Guess we might succeed in getting some really great pictures and maybe I will find out how to do video links to the site if we get something really nice. Oh yes, Gustav is the maintenance manager at the hotel owned by Richard Branson, but when we saw the prices for that decided it was a bit heavy for us.
