A 5 am call this morning as we have to be at the airport by 7.15 for our flight to Amsterdam. We had arranged to leave the car at Tiga Motors so that they could repair the damage all along the drivers side, during our time away.

We checked in slightly later than originally planned but we were able to book our luggage straight through, fingers crossed, as we have to change planes in Istanbul. The flight we were on from Ercan was going directly on to UK, but was noticeably not very full. Our transfer time in Istanbul was only just 1 hour, but a bit of a rush due to heightened security in Turkey.

We arrived nicely on time but having landed we were parked up on the side of the taxiway because the stand were we were due to park against was still occupied. Nice a half hour delay and then a huge queue to get through passport control. The consiquence of this was that Kitty and Malou were waiting for an age for us.

We made it finally to Nieuwkoop to meet up with the rest of the family and enjoy some of Kitty's home cooking. At least the sun was shining even if was about 10 degrees colder.
