Still a bit of a damp and overcast day to start, but it did warm up in time foe Arie to take me to Schipol airport to meet Norman. He flew over from Southampton with Flybe in one of their pull along jets. They must have had a strong tail wind down the channel as despite leaving 10 minutes late they actually arrived a further 10 minutes early and this on a flight that was only supposed to be 1 hour 15, anyway. The result of all this was that Arie and I had one of the fastest trips to the airport ever.

At least at the end of the day te sun came out and we had walked along the dyke path to introduce Norman to the large Jumbo Supermarket. We bought a BBQ pack on the meat counter and some salad stuff sio that we were able to christen the new BBQ that Joan and I had bought so that we could enjoy the expected summer sunshine.
